Job Description

Java Developer

FLSA Status: Exempt

Location: Hybrid, Berkeley Heights, NJ; Lincoln NE; or Omaha, NE

Position Summary

The Java Developer is a unique position that requires a strong software development and testing skillset acquired through professional team experience. Key factors for this position are not only an aptitude for creating working production software, but also being a problem solver, continuous learner, and great collaborator.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily.
  • Join a team of full stack Java developers building Restful API and microservices.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and product partners to build and deliver world class software.
  • Develop CI/CD pipeline, testing automation framework, automating build & deployment processes.
  • Be involved in design, developing, testing and deploying APIs and microservices in cloud native technologies.
  • Be involved in each phase of SDLC and working in an Agile team following Scrum process.

Qualifications

Education / Experience

  • 2-5 years of current hands-on experience delivering resilient and high-volume technology solutions built in Java/J2EE.
  • Clear understanding of the development process and workflow

Technical Skills

  • Hands on experience with leveraging CI/CD to rapidly build & test application code
  • Experience developing in Java/ Spring Boot framework (MVC architecture, Hibernate, API creation, Restful services, SOAP using Java).
  • Hands-on software development experience designing, writing, debugging, and testing object-oriented code.
  • Experience with various database technologies including both relational and non-relational implementations (SQL and NoSQL)

Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to quickly understand relevant business knowledge
