Janitor Floor Tech Jobs

Typical Pay Range From $22.15 hourly

A Janitor- Floor Tech is responsible for performing floor maintenance duties and custodial services in order to ensure that buildings and facilities are maintained in a safe and sanitary manner. Will perform a full range of floor care maintenance and custodial duties related to the care, maintenance and cleaning of all assigned buildings and facilities within the government contract to include both routine maintenance as well as non-routine assignments.

• Regular customer interaction during performance of services
• Operating floor care machinery and other basic janitorial equipment
• Building and floors will be maintained so as to be in compliance with contract standards and present a clean sightly appearance
• Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules
• May be required to drive to outlying areas
• Maintain equipment and supply
• Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor and management team
• Basic Janitorial duties including, but not limited to, sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms and kitchens
• Floor care maintenance duties for small and large facilities such as carpet cleaning, stripping and waxing, and spray buffs
• Follow instructions and directions
• Moving furniture before and after cleaning
• Independently work as well as part of a team

• Attention to detail
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Must have a valid California Drive License or obtain one before start date
• Must have the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
• Completion of on-the job training and safety program
• Floor maintenance experience required. ( preferred two years)
• Undeterred by exposure to hazardous chemicals, bodily fluids, and communicable and infectious disease
• Successfully pass background investigation for the base
• Physical stamina
• Must have the ability to obtain security clearance and submit all required documents through the government program (E-qip) before start date
