IT Support Technician


Location: Huntersville, NC - Onsite

Pay: - $25 - $30 /hr.

Duration: 6 - Month Contract to Hire

JOB DESCRIPTION

As the Information Technology Services Technician, you will report to and work closely with the IT Lead to maintain our client’s IT infrastructure; to include enterprise-wide technology deployments, implementations, and sustainment efforts. You will providing technical support to employees, ensuring that all compute and cloud systems are up-to-date and functioning.

You will collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to ensure that all technical issues are resolve. Meet established deadlines on projects. You will operate in a Google Workspace environment with some Microsoft Azure interaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel ~ 5% to 10% of the time, to our other office locations outside the 25-mile radius
  • Identify and respond to potential cybersecurity threats and manage advanced network firewalls and switches
  • Ensure technology resources are operational and available to customers and staff
  • Deploy and support new end-user solutions
  • Support inventory management of computer hardware and software tools
  • Install, repair, and update PCs, printers, networking equipment, mobile devices, and other related devices.
  • Resolve customer's IT hardware and software issues over the phone, in-person, and remotely
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to ensure efficient resolution of technical issues
  • Maintain knowledge of new technologies
  • Support cloud environments and remote desktop technology

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when installing technological equipment and machinery
  • Knowledge of network security practices and anti-virus programs
  • A focus on processes and Service Level Agreement (SLA) responsibilities
  • Experience with Windows, Linux, and macOS environments, and office automation products and computer peripherals
  • CompTIA A+ certification
  • Knowledge in recording technical documentation for configurations and procedures
  • Previous experience working with IT support desk ticketing systems; Zendesk preferred
  • 2 or more years of experience in IT support roles
  • Experience performing remote troubleshooting, address user tickets, and resolve technical hardware and software issues related to Windows 10, 11, macOS, iOS, and Android mobile devices, and network-related issues
  • Preferably an Associate level degree in computer science or related field.

  • Experience with SentinelOne XDR system
  • Microsoft Certified SC-900: Security, Compliance & Identity Fundamentals
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes
  • Experience with Ubiquiti networking systems
  • CompTIA Certified Server+, Network+, Security+, and CySA +
  • Experience with Jumpcloud Unified Device and Identity Access Management system
  • 4+ years’ experience as an IT Support Specialist
  • Be proficient in Google Workspace support
  • Experience in cybersecurity support
  • Microsoft Certified AZ-900: Azure Server Fundamentals
