Denver International Airport’s Business Technologies Division is seeking a highly qualified IT Business Operations Administrator to provide services and expertise in the areas of Financial Operations, Professional Services/Contracts, and Capital Improvement Projects. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to guide and provide input to operational policies, procedures, and goals related to IT budget and procurement.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
  • Monitor both contract and AP site for invoices that need processing and reviews daily. Process invoices in a timely manner such that BT avoids prompt pay penalties. Work cooperatively with others and assist staff as required in Workday or internal processes related to both procurement and invoice processing/billing.
  • Work with internal staff and DEN Finance on transactional tasks related to PR/POs, encumbrances, change orders…etc. Monitor invoice aging report to make sure DEN BT staff are processing invoices in a timely fashion. Follow-up with delinquent activities. Respectfully work with subject matter experts and vendors as required to resolve discrepancies.
  • Review required business case and associated power point for new CIP funding requests. Gather forecast data to produce required reports or updates for the division level CIP plan for the SVP. Periodically reconcile CIP budget files with Workday. Provide reports on historical spend and Estimated at Completion (EAC) as requested.
  • Process transactional activities such as new requisitions, change orders, invoicing processing as required.
  • Assist to develop strategies to ensure compliance to regulations and requirements, monitor and assesses compliance, and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Assist in the development and processing of Business Technologies contracts including participating in drafting RFP for professional/services contracts, evaluating proposals, administering the contracts for compliance and expenditures.
  • Administer Business Technologies financial operations including assisting to develop annual operating budgets, monitoring financial activities, developing required budget reports, and preparing fiscal reports showing the financial status of operations for review by departmental managers and directors.
  • Maintain historical spend and tracking data of all BT CIP funded projects as required. Assist project/program managers in the review of this data and execution of CIP funded projects by periodically meeting and reviewing data with them. Assist in CIP project set-up and close out actions with both internal staff and Finance.
  • Act as a technical expert, providing consultative and technical guidance to managers and other stakeholders, and handling sensitive and/or confidential issues, complaints, and/or inquires.
  • Perform procurement requests for technology products and services required for the Enterprise.
  • Participate in the formation of operating policies and procedures, provide advice and interpretative information pertaining to policies and procedures, evaluate proposed changes to policies and procedures including the merit and overall impact of changes, and make recommendations. Coach and train Business Technologies staff on policies and procedures.

About You
We are looking for candidates with some or all the following experience:
  • Experience with the MS Office 365 suite of products, including SharePoint
  • Various types of contracts
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Contract negotiation and administration
  • Experience using Workday Financials and Jaggaer
  • Technologies specific contracts, including on-call electrical and inside/outside plant
  • Budgeting principles and practices
  • Techniques for contracting and procurement
  • Prior experience or demonstrated knowledge of:
  • Knowledge of PROPworks and PCR360 preferred, but not required.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
  • Three (3) years of technical or administrative experience performing research and evaluation OR three years of experience performing technical and administrative duties within a related functional area.
FBI Background Check: FBI criminal background check is required for all positions at Denver International Airport (DEN). Employees are also required to report any felony convictions and/or moving violations to maintain this clearance and be eligible for continued employment. By position, a pre-employment physical/drug test may be required.

/ Emergency Duties: Denver International Airport is a 24/7/365 team operation. If
weather conditions warrant or an emergency crisis occurs, all DEN employees can
be required to work extended hours and/or shifts.
