Job Scope

The Inventory Control Specialist is the second of three levels within the Inventory Control Department. The Specialist works under minimal supervision and follows established procedures. The Specialist will perform the inspection, label verification, disposition, batch number creation and processing of incoming finished goods inventory. In addition, the Specialist will be required to perform cycle counts, inventory audits, process rework orders and the remove non-conforming material (obsolete, recalled, expired or damaged). May be required to assist with ordering supplies training, creating process documentation, troubleshoot/resolve inventory related discrepancies and generate quality notifications. The Specialist ensures that good internal customer relations are maintained, questions are resolved fairly and effectively in accordance with Acumed procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, process and disposition incoming finished goods inventory.
• Process rework orders.
• May assist with training.
• Participate in process improvements.
• Initiate and perform accurate cycle counting.
• May order supplies as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
• May troubleshoot and collaborate with other departments to resolve issues.
• May be asked to research and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
• Perform all tasks as outlined in associated process documentation.
• May assist with bin management tasks (creation, upkeep, deletion).
• May be required to monitor the SAP Warehouse Monitor and take appropriate actions.

• Demonstrated ability to use magnification equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Computer literacy required.
• Exceptional people skills – project a positive, professional image at all times.
• Demonstrated proficiency in SAP (as required in training matrix).
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, within a team structure and with other departments.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure, maintain composure and adhere to daily deadlines.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Complete required Specialist Matrix.
