Emory is an eco-friendly industrial services company that specializes in cleaning and maintaining heavy industrial equipment, machinery, and production facilities with an environmentally-friendly cleaning application called dry ice blasting. In addition to our dry ice blasting services, we provide preventative maintenance services, mechanical services, disinfection services, and we market and distribute high-density dry ice. We serve customers in a number of industries, including oil & gas, food & beverage, power generation, manufacturing, agriculture, construction, and many more. The Human Resources Manager works closely with the VP of Human Resources to develop, manage, coordinate, execute, and monitor Emory’s HR objectives and programs to support the company’s strategic needs and human capital requirements. The Human Resources Manager also coordinates recruitment, training, and employee-development programs to support the company’s long-term growth objectives. The Human Resources Manager must regularly monitor updates, changes, and amendments to state and federal HR rules, regulations, and laws to ensure ongoing compliance.
Human Resources Manager Roles & Responsibilities Include:
- Maintains proper document retention of all forms, procedures, reports, and all work products associated with background check processing.
- Reviews, recommends, and implements changes to such procedures in conjunction with business needs and/or requirements relevant laws and best practices.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
- Work with the HR team and Southwest Division department heads to create and then periodically review all job descriptions within the various departments.
- Regularly coordinate with Southwest Division management to ensure strategic alignment between HR strategy and company growth objectives.
- Assist to ensure Emory’s HR policies and procedures are in compliance with local, state, and federal rules, regulations, and laws.
- Coordinate with Head of HR and Southwest Division department heads to assist in coaching, counseling, and discipling employees (when necessary).
- Additional tasks and projects as assigned.
- Processes and distributes confidential and sensitive information, maintains privacy in all aspects of the position.
- Assist Hiring Managers with resume review, interview scheduling and phone screenings as necessary.
- Coordinate with Southwest Division management and department heads to evaluate compensation ranges for all positions.
- Ensures all I9's are in compliance.
- Work closely with the Head of HR and Southwest Division heads to ensure there is a comprehensive HR strategy to meet Emory Industrial Services - Southwest Division human capital needs in the near, medium, and long terms with the requisite and corresponding timelines clearly defined.
- Manage workflow regarding pre-employment background checks, physicals, and drug screenings.
- Implements, and refines over time the company orientation and onboarding program for all Southwest Division new hires at Emory.
- Participates in the regular review and refinement of Emory’s HR policies, procedures, guidelines, employee handbook, and codes of conduct.
- Analyze the financial outcomes associated with Southwest Division new hires, and regularly review the overall personnel budget to ensure alignment with the company’s growth strategy.
- An ability to stay flexible, adaptable, and self-motivated

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint)
- Strong program administration background and computer proficiency
- Excellent judgment and decision-making skills
- Excellent planning, organizing, strategizing, and project-management skills
- An ability to remain calm in stressful situations and deal well with conflict
- A willingness to travel between company locations and job sites as needed
- Excellent leadership and management skills (high social and emotional intelligence)
- A willingness to work in a fast-paced environment, and “get in the weeds” when necessary
