Batesville is looking for a Human Resources Specialist to join our team in Batesville, Indiana. As a Human Resources Specialist, you will be responsible for performing diversified administrative duties for the HR department while maintaining strict confidentiality. This is a hybrid position that will allow for you to work from our corporate office and from home with a team who thrives on collaboration.

What you will do:

  • Answer routine requests and inquiries from associates
  • Respond to audit requests and pull monthly reports and ad hoc reporting as needed
  • Assist in managing the human resources email inbox as well as receive and distribute incoming mail
  • Other duties may be assigned
  • Assist with budget tracking
  • Special project support as assigned
  • Responsible for new hire orientation
  • Process New Hires, Rehires, Terms, Transfers, Job changes, Union changes, User Defined field changes, Manager changes, etc. within the ADP Payroll system
  • System maintenance and documentation:
    • Process New Hires, Rehires, Terms, Transfers, Job changes, Union changes, User Defined field changes, Manager changes, etc. within the ADP Payroll system
  • Maintain personnel files, retrieving information as required
  • Assist the HR department by performing administrative duties including the following:

Basic Requirements:

  • Basic experience with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • One to three years Human Resources administrative or related experience and/or training

  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Software
  • Understands customer (internal and external) needs and can develop useful solutions
  • Has the ability to identify and remedy customer issues before they are surfaced
