Job Description
HR Generalist + Payroll 8914


Assists in the administration of Human Resource functions including benefit programs, worker’s compensation, recruitment, timekeeper administration, FMLA and general HR administration and payroll review for 1,000 employees.


Responsibilities


  • Ability to create general HR reports (e.g. workers compensation reporting, etc).
  • Oversees company’s time and attendance system, including but not limited to managing accrual profiles (vacation, sick leave, etc), new hire entry, providing resolution to system errors, etc.
  • Will provide support in working with insurance carrier with employee’s on worker’s compensation and monitors time-off; assists in coordination/administration of workplace safety training along with assisting director with OSHA compliance paperwork.
  • Provides support in supplying required government reporting along with overseeing FMLA administration and disability leave.
  • Assists with policy and procedure development and provides general research assistance when requested.
  • Overall administration support and special projects as assigned.
  • Assists with employment staffing efforts including preparation of recruitment folders, job posting, scheduling of interviews, conducting reference checks, etc.
  • Process multi-state payroll processing review for 1,000 + employees (exempt and non-exempt) and must have the ability to process payroll items when requested.
  • Provides benefit notification of new hires, terminations, dependent changes, invoices, etc to third party administrators; provides overall support during the annual open enrollment benefits meetings; assists with health and welfare compliance activities during testing and reporting.
  • Verifies completeness of all documentation pertaining to new hires and processes same in accordance with established procedures.
  • Assists with new hire orientation administration.
  • Provides on–going maintenance of employee personnel files.


Requirements


  • Multi-state payroll experience especially in CA required
  • Degreed or Non-Degreed with at least 3+ years experience in HR and Payroll
