Job Description

Job Summary:

The entry level HR Generalist is a non-exempt entry level HR role. This position will have exposure to all facets of HR including Systems, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Onboarding, Offboarding, Policies and Compliance. This position will complete administrative duties for the HR Team and will also serve as the building Reception 2-3 days per week. This individual should have a strong customer service focus.

Key Job Elements:

  • Complete employment verifications and respond to Act 168 requests
  • Complete weekly data and document audits to ensure information is accurate
  • Manage the Employee File documentation System
  • Accurately record all employee data into the Core HR System including Job/Salary Changes, New Hire Information, Transfers, Resignations, etc.
  • Support Talent Acquisitions by scheduling interviews, scheduling Onboarding and uploading New Hire Talent Documents
  • Track Employee clearance renewals and certifications and certification plans
  • Monitor and report to Pennsylvania Department of Education all Act 48 hours for certified staff
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Manage HR email accounts and delegate questions to appropriate HR representatives as needed.
  • Responsible for coordinating new employee orientation and creating ID Badges for all new hires
  • Create monthly Board Report and other reports as needed
  • Actively support the user management for multiple HR Systems including but not limited to our Performance Management, Learning Management, Benefit, and Core HR Systems.
  • Participate on the Wellness and Staff Appreciation Committee and assisting with ordering, delivery, and follow through on those activities for all buildings

Qualifications & Skills:

Required:

  • Bachelors degree perferred, preferably in an HR related field
  • Must possess the ability to handle sensitive information with utmost regard to confidentiality
  • Upbeat and positive attitude, collaborative spirit, and strong customer service orientation.
  • Experience in HR systems, preferably UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel and Google Suite
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be highly organized and have a proven track record of managing and prioritizing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 75% of the time while working at the computer within the office.
  • The person in this position constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with various internal and external stakeholders regarding financials. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
