  • Inspects hotel utilities and equipment and takes action to correct problems in order to minimize potential for violations during on-site safety inspections by OSHA.
  • Ability to observe and direct actions of subordinates.
  • Performs Daily hotel room inspections to ensure the consistent quality of room preparation and effectiveness of existing systems.
  • Must be able to review and comprehend all necessary documentation including SOP’s.
  • Hires, trains, motivates, evaluates, and manages staff to ensure employees receive adequate guidance and resources to achieve established objectives.
  • Conducts inspections and makes recommendations for necessary repairs in order to ensure cleanliness and proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Provides expertise, direction, and labor and equipment resources, including monitoring of all hazardous Materials located within the property in event of hazardous waste spill to ensure that cleanup procedures and results are in compliance with regulations.
  • Manages Foreign Labor program assuring proper procedures are followed with all Foreign Labor team members under the H2B petition.
  • Must be able to use a computer, calculator, etc.
  • Establishes, implements, and monitors department objectives, standards, guidelines, budget, and other administrative processes to achieve proper management of department and understand the relationship between a client and its contracted services
  • Operates in a working environment that is subject to varying levels of crowds, noise, vibrations, smoke, hazards and wet/humid conditions. Proper safety precautions are taken. Incumbents are at times subjected to hazards such as chemicals.
  • Collects data and information through inspections and testing in order to file reports to appropriate regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, as well as all levels of employees.
  • Assists guests with issues that are beyond the control of supervisors, ensuring guests' satisfaction while operating within established guidelines and policies.

  • Demonstrated record of high achievement and ability to interact effectively with others essential.
  • Prior experience in preparing and administering budgets, financial reports, and capital expenditures.
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials disposal regulations required.
  • Knowledge of chemical and stain removal products and processes and their effect on fabric; knowledge of fabric care.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in production analysis.
  • Effective communication skills required.


These skills and abilities are typically acquired through a minimum of two years’ experience in executive housekeeping, or equivalent experience, as well as two years’ experience in revenue generating and customer service areas. Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration preferred, or Associate's Degree and 4 years’ related experience. Certification for Executive Housekeeper through the National Housekeepers Association preferred.
