Looking for a Geospatial Services Manager for Nashville

The Geospatial Services Manager works at the intersection of programming, data analysis, and people management. This role will develop complex systems and processes and deploy advanced geospatial technology applications. They may provide GIS leadership on large or complex projects or programs. They contribute to business development efforts including the selling and growth of Geospatial services as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attends client meetings, clearly communicates technical topics, and works with clients to understand their needs and promotes Geospatial services
• Reviews and creates Geospatial business processes and develops recommendations
• Manages staff and provides mentorship to geospatial staff
• Oversees geospatial operations, staffing, workload management, technical resources, and projects
• Responds to client questions regarding Geospatial services and/or methodology
• Develops technical methodologies and approaches for projects
• Develops Quality Control (QC) processes for company-wide GIS work, oversees GIS quality assurance practices and develop standard operating procedures and documentation for GIS work
• Works with Business Unit Directors and CRMs on marketing efforts and business development activities including scope and fee development, proposals, and short lists presentation
• Leads Geospatial business development efforts
• Oversees the quality and accuracy of GIS mapping, databases and processes and provides technical guidance
• Develops presentations, technical training materials, and curriculum to promote Geospatial services and growth of staff
• Serves as Project Manager or advisor on complex projects using Geospatial services
• Participates in professional organizations including giving presentations and serving in leadership roles where appropriate

An ideal candidate will possess the following requirements:

• Minimum 15 years of experience
• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, Computer Science or related field
• GISP Certification (or eligible and able to obtain)
