HOW A GEOSPATIAL ANALYST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

General Description

• Provides maps and data sets to clients to supplement analysis.
• Expertise in performing data conversion migration, and translation activities utilizing advanced processing techniques.
• Provides database development support in creating cartographic and digital data products.
• Solid understanding of GIS theory and applications.
• Design and implement efficient production tools and coordinate workflow with project personnel.
• Extracts data from GIS software and uses varying analysis methods to arrive at results.
• Recommends appropriate reactionary strategies in response to GIS analysis.
• Utilizes Geographic Information System techniques to provide a better understanding of certain variables in a given geographic location.
• Performs finishing or remote sensing data, producing and maintaining cartographic databases, updating cartographic data from intelligence databases and producing mission specific data sets.
• Knowledgeable of GIS software and technology.
• Ensure quality, accuracy and currency of geospatial information produced.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:Specific Descriptions or Requirement

• Will support the program management office to oversee and be responsible for specific tasks as required and to support cross-project activities to ensure the integrity of a collaborative environment between programs and their efforts.
• Technical proficiency and understanding of GIS Enterprise concepts ; demonstrated technical competence in data acquisition, cleaning, and data management.
• Will support hardware and software integration activities as needed.
• Able to support testing and evaluation of geospatial software, user interfaces, data streaming and ingest capabilities, and support functional testing of analytics and techniques to improve workflows.
• Conceptual knowledge of the use of machine learning and associated algorithms, as well as, high motivation to learn and understand the capabilities deep learning and associated neural networks in support of geospatial operations.

Master’s Degree or equivalent and 10+ years of general related experienceLocation: HybridUS Citizenship RequiredTS SCI Clearance Accesses preferred.
