Freelance Senior Graphic Designer

EvolveMKD is looking for a dynamic Senior Graphic Designer to provide parental leave coverage. Prospective candidates should have experience designing for public relations, digital marketing, and the healthcare and beauty space. This person will work closely with our PR and Digital Marketing teams and our Senior Leadership Team across all projects.

EvolveMKD is based in Manhattan and we operate on a hybrid schedule (in-office 3 days a week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). Relocation assistance is not provided. Open to remote candidates.

Job Overview

A successful Senior Graphic Designer at EvolveMKD will have strong technical design skills and can naturally concept, design and create content for our clients within the healthcare and skincare space. They must possess a sophisticated design sense and great attention to detail. They should be fueled by an inner drive to learn new ways of thinking and hone their craft designing within various mediums. They should be a self-starter and have strong project management and organization skills. We also expect all team members to demonstrate problem-solving abilities, both when acting alone and as part of a collaborative team, as EvolveMKD is a fast-paced, start-up environment.

Passion and enthusiasm for the work, as well as team collaboration and respect are required.

Key Responsibilities

• Review quality of final product, packages and delivers final deliverables to brand team and/or clients
• Knowledge of designing & packaging files for print for marketing materials and event collateral
• Work cross functionally to create presentations for internal agency meetings, new business pitches, branded content and more
• Design in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and collaborate with quick turn around times
• Create and execute high-impact presentations in alignment with brand and agency standards and brand messaging and identity, maintaining the quality of design throughout all phases of the project
• Ability to design digital media assets using adobe platforms as well as social media tools
• Ability to conceptualize and execute high-end, visually stimulating content utilizing graphic design, video, and motion graphics while managing timelines
• Conceptualize and design branded digital content for EMKD Social and web platforms and clients, event collateral, press materials such as fact sheets and FAQs, infographics and case studies for awards submissions. This will include media such as static & motion graphics.

Qualifications

• Thrive in a dynamic and open environment that involves rapid iteration
• Fluent in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and have experience with basic motion graphics
• Experience in a professional advertising/marketing environment preferred
• Knowledge of rules and regulations when designing with brand partners
• Working experience of applying traditional and interactive design principles and solutions with a strong understanding and passion for branding, typography, logos, color palettes, event graphics, print and digital collateral
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with 5-7 years of design experience in presentation, web, print, and typography
• Highly experienced in taking creative ideas and translating them to visual presentations, infographics, and more as needed
