Job Description

The Four Seasons Operations Manager is an integral part of the Four Seasons administrative team and is directly responsible for concert/initiative operations and the day-to-day operations of the Four Seasons Chamber Music Festival. In addition to the duties below, it is necessary that the Operations Manager be an active participant in all Four Seasons planning and the implementation of all Four Seasons business at the highest level. Working and coordinating with Four Seasons team members, and interacting positively with musicians, patrons, donors, community members, vendors and business partners is an expected part of this position. In coordination with the Artistic/Executive Director and the Managing Director, the Operations Manager duties will be as follows.
Internal Operations – 75%
  • Attend ECU School of Music operations meetings
  • Manage and process expenses, payments, purchases and reimbursements
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of gifts/giving levels
  • Track and clearly organize expenses and budgetary matters
  • Manage receipt of donations/gifts
  • Participate in Four Seasons budget creation and management
  • Coordinate and carry out all day-to-day operations related to Four Seasons
  • Manage and carry out logistics for musicians and independent contractors
  • Manage and carry out logistics within East Carolina University, including the ECU School of Music
  • Additional duties as assigned
  • Assist with annual and targeted donor communications
  • Assist with the hiring, supervising, and management of Four Seasons Associates


Concert/Initiative Operations – 25%
  • Must be available for all online concerts/initiatives
  • Manage and coordinate recording and livestream operations
  • Manage and coordinate Four Seasons Associates
  • Coordinate and carry out all concert/initiative operations (in-person and online), including but not limited to Subscription, Next Generation, Community, Donor and Special Event concerts/initiatives
  • Additional duties as assigned
  • Manage and carry out all operations leading up to each concert/initiative
  • Manage and carry out all touring operations, including booking and production communications with internal ECU offices and outside venues, businesses and organizations
  • Develop and coordinate schedules and itineraries for concerts/initiatives
  • Manage and carry out Special Event ticket sales
  • Must be on site for all in-person concerts/initiatives (includes those that are out of town)
  • Manage ticket sales and distribution in coordination with the ECU Central Ticket Office (general and day of concert)
  • Manage and carry out all day of concert/initiative operations, including backstage operations
  • Manage and carry out merchandise sales and distribution

This position is contingent upon available funding.

Minimum Education/Experience
Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of experience in an administrative capacity.
