State of Connecticut Judicial Branch
Hartford
The State of Connecticut Judicial Branch is seeking a Food Services Assistant to prepare and serve meals according to menu plans; receive and store food and kitchen supplies; clean and assist in maintaining the kitchen, dining area, and equipment; operate kitchen equipment; observe strict compliance with federal and state regulations on safe and nutritious food preparation and service; perform related duties as required.
Salary Range: $50,009 - $65,468/year - plus State of Connecticut benefits.
New employees begin at the minimum. The starting salary for existing state employees may be higher than the minimum, in accordance with existing Judicial Branch policy.

Experience And Training
General Experience: One (1) year of experience in food preparation in a commercial or institutional setting.
Special Requirement: Incumbents may be required to provide periodic medical verification of absence of infectious and communicable diseases as identified by the Secretary of Health and Human Services as transmittable through the handling of food.
Working Conditions: Incumbents may be required to lift; may be exposed to some risk of injury from kitchen equipment.
