Job Details


Manager, Tradeshow & Events -hybrid -1 day a week in the office and local travel in and around the Bethlehem, PA area. Responsible for all event initiatives from inception to conclusion and tasked with researching and securing venues, planning, and managing the events' calendar, negotiating quotes and agreements with vendors, assisting with event marketing, monitoring time frames and budgets, networking, and effectively delivering on event objectives.


Skills


Degree in public relations, communications, hospitality or a related field; or combination of education and experience (Required)


8+ years’ experience in meeting, logistics and event planning


5+ years’ experience with a proven leadership track record and verifiable history of managing successful teams (Required)


Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from members, executive management, staff, and colleges


Creative strategic thinker, who can apply out of the box thinking to problem-solving and big picture concepts


Ability to prioritize projects and work with other team members to meet deadlines in a high volume, fast-paced environment


Excellent planning, organizational and project management skills with a strong attention to detail

What you will do


Applying creativity, organizational skills, and vision will assist our organization in amplifying brand visibility, enhancing member and employee relations, and improve our organization's growth through events that effectively communicate business strategy and brand personality


The ideal candidate has established a track record fostering relationships with Business and Industry experts, and has played an active role in shaping the creative vision of all events as a thought partner and strategist


Work closely across all departments to manage meeting and event strategies, goals, and outcomes


Establish project timeline, define a workflow schedule, and execute tasks to meet project deadlines


Oversee logistics for special programs, developing and executing promotional plans


Serve as the point of contact for vendors andmembers involved in event activities


Collaborate with other team members on identifying, planning, and managing key deliverables, activities, budgets, and deadlines for individual events


Coordinate with marketing team to produce promotional materials and publications


Support the membership relationship by handling the logistics involved with the flawless execution of meeting or event details


Brainstorming and implementing event plans and concepts


Handling budgeting and invoicing


Manage, attend and participate in the annual trade show and other events as needed


Updating project management spreadsheets


Developing event feedback surveys


Obtaining permits, COI as needed
