REQUIREMENTS: ALL Applicants must be:

• Legally Eligible to Work in the US
• Must have own transportation to and from jobsite every work day (driver's license not required)
• Able to Pass a Drug Test
• Additional Requirements for Craftworkers:
• Must provide own hand tools (excluding power tools)

Primary function of an Equipment/Material Handler: Dispatch truck drivers. Obtain permits to move equipment. Work with the Heavy Civil Division to buy supplies. Operate yard crane and manage yard supplies. Maintain and submit shop personnel timesheets. Keep track of completed DOT hours.
Duties
Safety

• Hold all employees accountable for practicing and enforcing safety every day.
• Look for potential safety issues on the project.
• Promote and enforce safety first and foremost.

Project Execution and Paperwork

• Approve rental invoices, permit invoices, hired truck invoices and code accordingly.
• Recognize the need for assistance and ask for it.
• Coordinate and dispatch road tractors for road equipment and material deliveries to and from projects.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely fashion.
• Coordinate rental of small equipment and large equipment rentals lasting up to 1 month.
• Look for ways to be more efficient and profitable.
• Work with the Equipment Operations Manager to ensure rental vendors comply with Crowder established rental rates and terms
• Work with the Shop Superintendent and Equipment Operations Manager on moves to ensure equipment is ready.
• Negotiate rental equipment rates.
• Complete driver daily timesheets with job numbers and cost codes.
• Obtain haul permits.
• Maintain a high level of professional ethics and demand the same of all employees.
• Coordinate hauls for Civil & Environmental and Industrial Divisions.
• Communicate driver hours used in crane assemble/dissemble to the Shop Superintendent.

Quality And Production

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience

• Must possess practical knowledge of the function, operation, and maintenance of construction equipment.
• Two years experience in transportation and equipment coordination.
• Must hold CCO license and complete all required training.
• Excellent communication, organization, motivation, and leadership skills.
