Job Description
Responsibilities


  • Work with Job Leads, Electrics crew, and Department Head to plan, organize, and direct the work of electrics department crew daily
  • Apply knowledge of the National Electrical Codes as needed
  • Install lighting equipment into finished scenery and elements
  • Adhere to all safety warnings and guidelines and maintain a safe working environment
  • Evaluate materials for potential defects
  • Operate tools, machines, and equipment safely
  • Assist in the communication of company policies and procedures to the job crew
  • Maintain a clean and tidy workspace
  • Any additional tasks as requested by the Electrics Department Head
  • Oversee electricians and assist regarding fabrication means and methods and offer feedback to maintain overall quality
  • Handle basic repairs around the building in conjunction with the Maintenance Staff
  • Assist Job Leads with the installation of electrical components
  • Check finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints or specified by the Department Head
  • Read and interpret project specific drawings
  • Attend onsite work calls and installation calls in order to maintain or repair components as needed
  • Maintain familiarity with active jobs to understand current and upcoming project needs


Qualifications


  • Mechanical aptitude and experience preferred
  • ETCP Certification a plus
  • An understanding of both theatrical lighting and National Electric Code
  • Controls, PLC, Raspberry PI experience a plus
  • Electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with building electric issues.
  • Ability to perform and pass a fit test for a respirator
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel based on project and company needs
  • OSHA 10 Certification preferred
  • Able to perform professional installations in a various work environments
  • Experience soldering and wiring LED strips
  • 3-5 years electrical supervision experience in an Industrial Setting
  • Comply with State and local building codes
