Job Description

CII is seeking a detail-oriented Editorial Assistant to provide administrative support to our Editorial department, including websites, podcasts, and awards programs.

Responsibilities

  • Review recorded interviews and write summaries and marketing copy for email and social media promotion.
  • Maintain the story lineup and editorial calendars across a suite of CII editorial offerings, ensuring synergy between websites, newsletters, podcasts, and company events
  • Gather supporting materials for podcasts and stories, including guest photos, bios, emails, and social media accounts/handles
  • Schedule website stories and press releases daily in content management system
  • Organize two content-based awards programs, gathering entries and facilitating judging process.
  • Schedule podcast episode launches with web and marketing teams
  • Compile monthly news “round ups” covering product, company, and financial news in the space.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Eager to tell the story of science and business, connecting our audience with useful and impactful scientific, investor, and entrepreneurial stories
  • Exceptional project coordination skills, meeting every deadline
  • Comfortable bridging various teams as well as internal and external stakeholders to deliver a final product on schedule
  • Social media savvy including SEO keyword optimization and LinkedIn and Twitter best practices
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • A good eye for effective use of imagery
  • Passionate about delivering an excellent user experience for the podcast listener and reader
  • Ability to summarize scientific content to attract audiences. **Note: the recruitment process includes a brief writing test.
