Job Summary::

The Driver is responsible for providing the transportation for the youth to and from the program services. Provide support as needed to prep for or during groups

Essential Functions::

• Effectively schedule and plot timely routes for transportation of youth.
• Maintain all required documentation for use of personal vehicle for transportation such as routes and mileage logs.
• Always ensure the proper supervision of youth.
• Attend all departmental and program meetings to ensure that up-to-date information is received and/or information of policy changes or practice are adhered to.
• Develop positive rapport with youth while serving as a role model to create a safe and caring environment.
• Provide transportation
• Be available to work on evenings, weekends and maintain flexibility with work schedule to meet the client needs.

Other Functions::

• Be able to provide supervision of youth in group setting as needed
• Able to react to change

Qualifications and Requirements::

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience driving in a commercial or business setting, preferably for a correctional or institutional setting. .
• Must be able to work a flexible work schedule.
• Cleared background check from appropriate entity.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
• Bilingual.

Physical Demands::

Must be able to obtain Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification and First Aid Certification (CPR). Must be able to supervise clients indoors and outdoors as necessary. Bending, stooping and lifting up to 20 lbs required to complete daily tasks. Involves walking and standing for extended periods of time.

Work Environment::

Work shifts are subject to change. Noise levels vary from mild to moderate. Must be able to drive for extended lengths of time. Will be driving to various locations at various times of the day and night. Exposed to prevalent weather conditions.
