This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Document Control Specialist for our Raleigh, NC or Durham, NC office. As part of the Property and Buildings Group at WSP, we are shaping the future for our clients and the world around us. As a passionate group of planners, strategists, architects, and engineers our team looks to define how the science, technology and advanced manufacturing industry collaborates, builds, and thrives in the face of unprecedented change. As the Construction Administrator, you will work independently supporting internal and external clients, vendors, project stakeholders, and partners throughout various stages of project delivery. This opportunity requires a combination of skills that are essential to the success in achieving the goals expected, not only of the position but of the mission of WSP as well.

Your Impact

  • Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive documents.
  • Distribute documents to various stakeholders including partners, contractors, owners, AHJ’s and associated representatives as directed.
  • Control and retain documents markups for the purposes of QA/QC.
  • Establish and/or maintain record retention timelines and improve document control practices.
  • Revision control experience is essential, including state standards for document approvals.
  • Knowledge of engineering and construction contracting is a plus.
  • Keep other personnel updated on new document versions and how to obtain access.
  • Create templates for use by other personnel.
  • Review and update documents for maintenance and quality control.
  • Verify information on engineering records to ensure accuracy and authenticity.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Experience collecting and registering all technical documents such as drawings and specifications in the company’s systems, which may be project specific, including but not limited to Bluebeam, Newforma, Procore, Revit, and AutoCAD.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with scanning and uploading documents from multiple sources including but not limited to MS office, email, photographs, submittals, and RFIs.
  • Uphold workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies. #LI-PJ1
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct related policies and procedures.
  • 3-5 years of experience.
