Job Description

  • Plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staffing levels, ensure that activities are performed effectively, and respond to fluctuating workloads.
  • Appraise and document employee performance at regular intervals as required by company procedures, ensuring a plan for improving employee performance and potential.
  • Prepare reports for the DC Director.
  • Mentoring, training, and developing teammates for career progression, performance improvement, and recognition
  • Identify and lead process improvement initiatives
  • Assist warehouse personnel with everyday functions when necessary.
  • Lead and develop a team of frontline supervisors and hourly associates
  • Review work throughout the process and at completion to ensure it has been performed effectively.
  • Ensure that all warehouse equipment is in working condition.
  • Maintain compliance and consistency and take corrective action when needed
  • Enforce company policies and procedures, and abide by same.
  • Communicate with employees and management regularly to ensure procedures are followed, new procedures and methods are considered, and other approved methods or procedures are known and carried out on a timely basis.
  • Counsel employees in work-related activities, personal growth, and career development.
  • Build and deliver productivity plans by reviewing forecasts, determining productivity requirements, and partnering with other Ops Mgr in the supply chain network
  • Provide direction and assistance in the solution of problems with employees.
  • Inform designated employees or departments of items loaded and problems encountered.
  • Recommend pay increase based on performance. Receive approval from DC Director before discussing with the employee.
  • Ensure all stock is pulled and loaded into the delivery vehicle with accompanying and necessary documents, in conjunction with delivery schedules maintaining a 99% accuracy rate.
  • Evaluate performance objectives and metrics to determine inbound and outbound productivity requirements.
  • Support all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment.
