Overview of Job
Responsible for Developing and Supervising the Marketing Organization - Design, implement, manage and report on effective marketing strategies that align with Eton Solutions' (Eton) sales and business goals. Ideal candidate should be a highly skilled marketing strategist with work experience managing a variety of marketing projects end-to-end, including highly focused campaigns and marketing techniques in both the traditional and digital fields. The ideal candidate should also have a passion for the job and be able to employ unique and creative marketing ideas and techniques. As Eton is an early stage company this role will initially be one of a player/coach. In addition to developing effective marketing strategies, the candidate must also be willing to initially "roll up their sleeves" and help with the execution of these strategies. Ultimately, candidate is expected to lead efforts to position Eton as the leader in the marketplace and develop the Marketing organization into a key contributor to Eton's sales and long-term business success.
Responsibilities
- Competitor reporting including Eton's relative position
- Assist other internal units (e.g., Implementation, IT) with developing their more specific value propositions within the overall organization's value proposition
- Forecast and justify future hiring needs for the Marketing Organization
- Build relationships with media and key stakeholders through creative PR strategies
- Actively work with and contribute to industry advocate organizations such as the Family Office Exchange (FOX) to build trust and community
- Historic performance and contribution reporting
- Produce ideas for promotional events or activities and execute them efficiently
- Conduct general market research to keep abreast of trends and competitor's marketing movements; track competitors' activities
- Monitor all marketing campaigns and improve as necessary
- Together with the sales organization, develop and implement cohesive sales and marketing planning to increase brand awareness and inbound leads
- Equip the sales organization with the trainings and collateral needed to effectively position the organization and its goals with prospects, leads and customers
- Long term strategy and goals
- Set current and long-term goals to measure success - a major measure of success will be the number of qualified leads that are generated by the marketing activities.
- Together with the leadership team, evolve the global voice of Eton's brand positioning
- Participate in the quarterly and annual planning of the company's objectives
- Team with and support the sales organization tactics down to individual deals as needed
- Research informed annual measurable marketing plan
- Responsible for producing valuable content for the company's online presence, editorial design and organizing the company's marketing materials
- Design and document Eton's marketing strategy to include:
- Generate and manage budgeting and allocate resources amongst projects
Requirements:
- Proven work experience in Marketing for 5 years
- Experience with CRM software and digital marketing tools and techniques
- Demonstrable experience designing and implementing successful marketing campaigns, i.e., strong project management skills
- Leadership ability to galvanize a team/ an organization to the vision
- Customer-oriented approach with aptitude
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate ideas and concepts to large audiences
- A proven leader with a strategic mindset and ability to make difficult decisions
- Solid digital marketing knowledge including SEO, analytics, content marketing and digital advertising
- Ability to explain complex or highly technical concepts in ‘easy-to-understand' terms
- Prior experience in the family office industry, while not required, a major benefit
