Job Description

MoveDocs is looking for a highly responsive, goal-oriented senior leader who will bring energy, experience, and drive to impact the success of a fast-growing company. The Director of Operations will manage assigned MoveDocs Departments, potentially including Document & Payment Processing, Risk Management & Underwriting, HIPPA-compliant Med Records Collections, Scheduling, Customer Service, Settlement, and Collections department(s).

They will play a key role in advancing our Customer/Partner Experience, Operational Capabilities, Operational Performance & Reporting and has expertise in the day-to-day leadership requirements of a complex operation. They will lead the implementation of solutions to create more efficient, cost-effective, and scalable operational capabilities. This leader will partner and collaborate cross-functionally across the enterprise to solve business problems and will be expected to communicate regularly throughout all levels of the organization, including the executive team. Leading a multifunctional team, driving change efforts, and motivating a capable and tenured team in a high-growth environment is critical. This leader will optimize team performance through effective communication, change management, mentoring, performance management, rewards/recognition, and coaching.

The role will report directly to the SVP of Operations in the Move Docs’ Las Vegas office.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with business partners to source & compile data and determine impacts and actions necessary to assess and maintain operational performance.
  • Provide leadership as an exceptional leader of people, developing talent, setting direction, and deploying resources effectively.
  • Communicate directly with Customers and Partners (Attorneys & Medical Providers) to enhance the relationship and promote growth while balancing business needs.
  • Collaborate with Sales teams to integrate improved communications with Customers and Partners on our processes and critical requirements.
  • Drive the research and deployment of solutions and corresponding business processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Help identify, design, and develop automated capabilities and solutions.
  • Assess current operational performance and processes – recommend and implement improvements to enable scalability and efficiency and achieve customer/partner experience objectives.
  • Update and help hold our business accountable to approved Policies, Procedures, and Success metrics/criteria.
  • Establish KPIs and reporting/analytics to measure performance and create accountability.
  • Ensure targeted organizational alignment and communicate status and project activities to executives.
  • Identify, develop, and deploy enhancements that improve operational capabilities, increase decision accuracy, and engage identified stakeholders proactively, timely, and efficiently.
  • Provide leadership across assigned MoveDocs Core Operational Teams (including day-to-day management, performance monitoring, issue identification, and solutions).
  • Develop approaches to ensure that changes cascade through systems and operations smoothly, are monitored for appropriate outcomes, and are modified as needed.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Personal Injury insurance/claims, legal, or healthcare operational experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally.
  • Technical/systems proficiency, demonstrated continuous improvement & project management experience, curiosity, and a solid ability to influence others successfully.
  • Must be process and metrics oriented, well-organized, highly motivated, and self-directed with the ability and desire to impact our customers, colleagues, and company genuinely.
  • In-depth experience in designing and leading organizational compliance capabilities/environment.
  • 7+ years leading teams in a leader-of-leaders role.
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant direct senior-level experience required. Law Degree, MBA, or advanced degree preferred.
  • History of success in working with and leading change in high-growth environments.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
