Stone Rehabilitation and Senior Living (Stone) is seeking a Director of Admissions. Stone is a private residential care and skilled nursing facility located in Newton Upper Falls, and offers a unique combination of classic rest home, in the 22-bed the Pettee House, as well as a modern, 82-bed skilled nursing facility.
Stone is an affiliate of Legacy Lifecare. Through Legacy, Stone's Director of Admissions will have access to resources ordinarily only available to much larger organizations. Position Summary
The Director of Admissions manages the full-cycle admission process from inquiry to move-in. The position will work closely with the Executive Director to meet census goals through a strong referral program, timely response to inquiries and excellent customer service. The Director of Admissions will effectively communicate all admissions and discharges to the appropriate department heads to ensure smooth transitions.
Primary Responsibilities

• Follow-up with all referrals and inquires that did not result in admission
• Conducts daily admission meeting to communicate upcoming changes (ie- admissions, bed changes and discharges) with appropriate department heads
• Maintain relationships with referral sources and communicates any updates to criteria for admission
• Responds to all inquiries in a professional and timely manner
• Monitors and evaluates customer satisfaction from new admissions, post-discharges, current residents and families, community sources, and inquiries that did not admit. Report out on common themes to BU leaders and LLM
• Coordinates tours of the facility for prospective move-ins and their families
• Maintains a working knowledge of Federal and State regulations and reimbursement guidelines for Medicare and Medicaid
• Clinically assess potential residents to determine if criteria for admission is met

Qualifications

• A working knowledge of managed care and third-party payers
• Bachelor's Degree in healthcare related field preferred
• A minimum of 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience preferred with at least two (2) years in long term care and two (2) years of successful experience in either administrative, consultation or involvement in the survey process
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
