Director Position, Erin’s Hope for Friends Kentucky

Description: Part-time (10-15 hours weekly)Location: Lexington, KY

Start date: Immediate openingSalary: $22 to $25/hour, negotiable


Erin's Hope for Friends Kentucky (EHFF KY) is looking for a qualified individual to serve as a part-time Director for a newly formed Kentucky affiliate of Erin’s Hope for Friends, a non-profit serving teens and young adults on the autism spectrum. Our charity is based on autism acceptance, kindness, and anti-bullying. As such, a Director must exhibit good character and a strong commitment to the cause.


The role of Director includes 10-15 hrs/week for managing general operations as outlined in the National EHFF Operations Manual. There is opportunity for this role to develop into a full-time or shared position as our local organization grows. Responsibilities may be performed with flexible hours, remotely or on-site (at the Lexington e’s Club location) as indicated below with estimated weekly time commitments. Initial responsibilities include:


  • Provide general e’s Club location oversight and possible direct supervision for weekly programmingon Friday evenings, Saturday afternoon and evenings, and Sunday afternoons(on-site; 2 hr/week as needed)
  • Assist the board with financial oversight, such as bookkeeping, reimbursements, payroll, donor tracking (remote or on-site; 1 hr/week)
  • Accept guidance and oversight from EHFF National Executive Director (remote or on-site; 1 hr/week)
  • Oversee gran t-writing projects and donor tracking (remote or on-site; 2 hr/week)
  • Oversee volunteer and staff recruitment and training (remote and on-site; 3 hr/week as needed)
  • Plan and delegate tasks for fundraising campaigns & events (remote or on-site; 3 hr/week)
  • Marketing, social media, & email communication (remote or on-site; 1 hr/week)
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Attend and contribute to monthly board meetings: Currently, the board of EHFF KY meets once monthly on Tuesdays for approximately 1 hour (remote or on-site; 1 hr/month)


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (or higher) and non-profit experience is preferred. Experience with or an interest in the Autism community is also preferred. Candidate must have good organizational skills, strong written communication skills, effective interpersonal skills, and comfort with a leadership role. Strong attention to detail is necessary, along with the ability to utilize or learn various software and communication platforms.
