JOB DESCRIPTION

Our team members are called “Creators” because each one has a key role in shaping what we do. Jared M. Burns Photography has been in business for over 13 years and is recognized as one of Snohomish County’s best and highest-reviewed businesses for Family, Senior Grad, and Business Portraits. We are full-service meaning, images are not the product here; the complete customer service experience is the product. We take the integrity of our brand philosophy very seriously and find this is the leading reason repeat clients trust us with their photography memories, artwork, and projects year after year.

The core qualities that will determine success in this role include…

• Comfortable working in a mostly-remote-from home environment with little direct daily oversight over customer service and administration-related projects. Being a self-starter is a “must” given the nature of this high-flexibility position.
• Assist regularly with marketing projects, social media engagement, and website or newsletter content
• Must have an entrepreneurial spirit even if you aren't an entrepreneur.
• Place orders with our photo labs or vendors
• Familiarity with or ability to quickly learn the Google suite of tools, Trello, Canva, and online scheduling
• Live in or very near the western Snohomish County region.
• You will be a “Creator” in the company meaning you are proactive about creating work or seeking out new projects. You are teachable and have the willingness to always learn. You initiate your own development path that adds value to yourself and the company.
• Must love learning - more specifically, must have the skill to find the knowledge you need to complete a project. This is also known as “just-in-time learning” or the resourceful ability to go find the learning you need at just the right time to complete a project.
• A positive can-do attitude, with a problem-solving spirit. When you identify a problem, be the solution. Own the solution.
• Able to work about 15 hours per week to start with some flexibility for seasonal variation.
• Comfortable with general web use, social media, and cloud computing
• Willing to wear different hats, or fill different roles when needed.
• Must have a winning mindset with a positive attitude.
• Must be passionate about connecting with people primarily on the phone, often through emails and social media, and occasionally in person. The ability to connect with our mostly female clients in an authentic way is key. You are the first impression of how customers will experience our brand.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Previous knowledge of this industry is not required. A desire to learn and grow in the role is more desirable than past education and experience.
