Universal Biosensors (UBI) is a world leading, publicly listed Australian company (ASX:UBI) which develops, manufactures and sells biosensors for use in several industries around the world. Our biosensor technology has been used in more than 10 billion measurements for blood glucose monitoring and blood coagulation in diabetes and coagulation patients worldwide. More recently, we have pivoted our technology into non-medical products, including SENTIA™ for the global wine industry and Petrackr™ for the veterinary domain. In addition, we continue to develop new applications for our technology within human health with the imminent US launch for the next generation of coagulation monitoring device, Xprecia Prime™, in 2023.
Requirements
What you will do
UBI is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and driven individual to join our team. This is a new role added to expand our Sales & Marketing team, reporting directly to the Business Development Director - Petrackr, to support customer needs while creating continuous repeat product purchase pipeline.
As the Customer Care & Inside Sales Specialist, you are the primary contact for Petrackr customer enquiries and direct liaison with distributor partners to support their selling activities. Petrackr is our latest product launched for point-of-use blood glucose monitoring for cats and dogs.
Who You Are
We are looking for a customer-focused, results-driven and proactive candidate who is degree-qualified in Business/Marketing or Science (or similar). You'd have at least 2 years' experience in similar customer management and/or inside sales role. Veterinary industry experience would be advantageous.
The role will perform (but not limited to) the following activities:
  • Manage and respond to customer enquiries and information requests, inc. troubleshooting L1 complaints/issues.
  • Conduct targeted outbound sales activities to generate new sales leads and/or customer reorders
  • Support distributor partners in all product sales/promotions activities, inc. training distributor team members.
You are a customer person with the ability to work autonomously and independently with good attention to detail – bringing knowledge and skills such as:-
  • Experience collaborating with a cross-functional team, e.g. Operations, Engineering and Quality, within global organisation
  • Ability to influence and communicate effectively
  • Sound computer skills, inc CRM and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong relationship and customer management skills, inc handling customer complaints effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to articulate a customer proposition and close a sale
