SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for supporting Customer Experiences within the Discovery Center for internal and external customers. Working with cross functional partners to plan and execute best in class customer meetings, product cuttings to Tyson Foods Customer Promise. Other responsibilities include creating run of show schedules for customer product cuttings based on staffing, equipment resources and optimal functionality of featured Tyson product(s), managing day-of-execution and service of customer product cuttings. Other duties include ordering and inventory of office supplies, kitchen supplies and small equipment, product receiving and shipping, light administrative support as needed by the Discovery Center, other special duties as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role will participate as a strategic member of the Customer Experience team and execute against the organizational business plans and goals. This role, under limited direction from the Manager, will be responsible for balancing priorities to ensure the best customer experience for all appropriate internal and external audiences.
The Customer Experience Specialist will assist the Customer Experience Manager, and would be the responsible party in the manager’s absence, to act as a liaison between R&D/Innovation/Sales/Marketing and the Tyson Foods ELT and Board of Directors in the planning and execution of internally and externally facing events including but not limited to; quarterly Board of Director meetings, Investor Day at NYSE, The Annual Shareholders Meeting, CAGNY, etc. During the event, this role would need to be knowledgeable in key product attributes and would need to be comfortable and confident in answering questions from both internal and external audiences.
The Customer Experience Specialist will lead the day of product sampling portion of any Customer Experience within the Discovery Center. In this capacity, this role would be responsible for creating a product execution plan based on back of house best practices, equipment standards and meeting agenda for a team of R&D Scientists/Technologists and Chefs. These named parties would take direction from and support the Specialist in executing product sampling for Customer Experiences.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Travel: 1 to 4 trips per year
  • Special Skills: Project management skills to simultaneously manage a complex variety of tasks, comfortable taking ownership, detail oriented with the ability to solve problems quickly and anticipate needs, ability to work independently.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are required. Comfortable creating and presenting materials to varied audiences. Ability to communicate and translate complex technical details to cross functional team members and external customers.
  • Computer Skills: Requires computer skills in Microsoft Office Applications such as PowerPoint and Excel and
  • Supervisory: None
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in the foodservice/hospitality industry
  • Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, or academically related field, or Associates Degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, related field in conjunction with relevant experience.
