Position Summary:
Park Nicollet Radiology team members partner with providers to ensure that each patient has a safe, caring experience. Performs high quality and accurate diagnostic Computerized Tomography in accordance with established protocols. Interacts with patients, clinicians, and staff in a professional and courteous manner. Applies knowledge of radiation protection, emergency protocols and procedures. Performs tasks to comply with regulatory standards. Educates and trains others on the operation of all equipment, procedures, image quality, and exposure techniques.
Education/Experience:
Additional specialized training or experience in Computerized Tomography is preferred.
Special Knowledge/Skills/Certifications/Licenses:
Required:
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registry is required and must be maintained. • Advanced Registry in Computerized Tomography required within 12 months after first shift working solo within modality. • Must maintain ARRT (R) (CT) • Must obtain certification of BLS within 6 months and continuously maintain.
Additional skills needed:
• Problem solving skills and discretion with patient information is also required. • Computer knowledge or experience in specialized imaging systems such as three dimensional reconstruction is required. • The ability to exercise good judgment is important. • Must exhibit strong interpersonal and team building skills. • Demonstrates knowledge of age related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
