Credit & Collection Analyst
With minimal supervision, the Credit and Collection Analyst will review credit worthiness of clients and approve or hold orders accordingly. Collect on outstanding invoices that are beyond terms. Knowledge of credit card processing and regulations is needed. Identify and implement Credit and Collections process improvements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Knowledge of payment vehicles, including credit card, letter of credit and international transactions and foreign exchange.
  • Process and analyze credit applications.
  • Analyze financial statements of customers.
  • Collect past due money owed to Maharam.
  • Process improvement/project management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Hold and approve orders within a portfolio of accounts.
  • Perform account reconciliation.
  • Approve credit limits up to a pre-determined level as determined by management.
CONTACTS INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE ORGANIZATION
This position typically has contact with clients, client services, claims dept, resource management, warehouse, custom studio, sales and programming staff. Additionally, this position has significant contact with customers, banks, credit agencies and reference companies.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
  • Working knowledge of MS Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Collections on past due accounts.
  • Holding and approving customers’ orders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized and able to multi-task.
  • Financial Statement Analysis.
  • Ability to work process improvement projects from initial idea through implementation.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • An associate degree in business administration or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of credit analyst experience along with 2 years of collection experience.

A starting compensation range for this role is $58,801.60 - $73,450.80. Relevant salary considerations will include candidate qualifications and experience, other business/organizational needs and market factors . You may also be eligible to receive a geographic premium, annual discretionary incentive and equity awards which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
