This position is CONTINGENT upon funding, an open position, customer approval, completion of a favorable background investigation, and the ability to obtain and maintain our customer's sensitive clearance.

An experienced and motivated Cloud Security Engineer to help our customer continue to mature the security of our growing cloud footprint. The ideal candidate will have experience on multiple of Azure, Google, or Amazon cloud environments including unified monitoring via cloud application security broker (CASB) and SIEM on behalf of a cybersecurity program of a medium or larger sized enterprise and be a goal-oriented, customer focused security practitioner.

• Candidates must be eligible to obtain a sensitive clearance – Position of Public Trust – and may be required to obtain a higher security clearance.

Job responsibilities:

• Developing technical documentation and briefing material supporting architecture discussions and leadership decision making processes
• Serving as a Subject Matter Expert in the configuration and operation of the security consoles and controls within environment
• Providing analysis of outputs and recommendations for improving overall security posture

Required Skills:

• Ability to review, produce and make recommendations to improve the security posture
• Ability to implement security controls to comply with industry best practices and various regulatory controls
• Ability to conduct initial triage assessments of findings from audit or testing
• Must have 8+ years of the experience listed above and a Bachelor's degree
• Experience with a cloud application security broker and integration to multiple services
• Able to engage with other internal and external groups to get and share information to improve processes and security posture
• Must be able to obtain a security clearance

Desired Skills:

• Excellent writing skills
• Project planning experience
• Experience automating process using PowerShell or Python, including use of remote APIs
• Experience implementing controls supporting Zero Trust methodology
• Experience deploying physical, virtual and cloud hosted enterprise applications on MS Windows and/or Linux OS
• Experience using Microsoft office suite applications

Required Education:

Bachelors Degree or higher in Computer Science, in an information technology discipline or a related technical discipline; or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or IT work experience.

Requires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project management. Practical to substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.

Engineering/Other Technical Positions:

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations. Requires advanced to expert knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.

May have broad knowledge of project management. Requires substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems in order to provide enhancements within job area. Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
