Job Description

We are looking for strong Client Partners with sales experience, specifically IT Services sales, and preferably selling digital engineering, data management and AI to large enterprise banks. Having a rolodex of contacts in key positions (CIO, unit CIOs, SVP Application Development, Engineering, Data Management, SVP for their Cards and Banking business, etc.) in Technology and the line of business.

What you will do

We are looking for a Client Partner for Card Brands (Mastercard, Visa, Capital One) within the banking industry that will drive and expand account growth by leveraging existing strategic client relationships at all levels. The Client Partner will advise and support clients by oering solutions and tactics to achieve their business goals; therefore, a strong record of accomplishment in profitable growth along with account expansion and management experience is necessary. This role requires extensive customer relations experience in named accounts and a focus on revenues, operating margin, customer satisfaction, and employee growth and development. Although this position is client- and sales-oriented, soft technical skills related to legacy and modern banking payment applications, APIs, and bank product design are highly desirable. Must bring top-notch consulting and relationship management skills along with a deep appreciation of IT tools, techniques, systems and solutions.


Responsibilities

  • Existing relationships and business success with top card brands, such as MasterCard, Visa, Capital One, and payment providers required.
  • Strong connections within the industry as a trusted advisor.
  • Prepare and deliver business development by understanding the client requirements, recommending technical solutions, consulting between business operations, and determining software development requirements or enhancements.
  • Acquire and expand key account relationships with potential revenue of $10MM+.
  • Create an account plan with details of the relationships, client business and technology challenges, opportunities to pursue, revenue expectations, and potential threats or weaknesses to address.
  • Develop and drive communication, and relationships between partners to enable eciency.
  • Serve as the bridge between the business and IT stakeholders to embrace technology as a tool to solve business problems.


Requirements and technical skills

  • Excellent analytical approach and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience working either as a consultant or banking domain expert.
  • 5+ years of experience working in the cards and payments industry and familiarity with North American markets.
  • Able to work within a cross-functional environment, particularly with delivery, product, project services, and engineering teams.
  • Strategic thinking, communication and problem solving skills.
  • Candidate location preference is near named clients but open to remote.
  • Strong presentation software skills to create content for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Able to provide ongoing knowledge and awareness of regulations impacting financial services in the region.
  • Proven record of long term client relationships at senior levels within accounts.
