The Chief Engineer is #2 in engineering and is responsible for the oversight of the operation of the hotel. This includes the inside as well as the outside of the building. This person must be knowledgeable in HVAC, Refrigeration, and Electrical Engineering.

This position will report directly to the Director of Engineering and will support a wide variety of areas of the hotel including but not limited to the following:

• Excellent communication skills.
• The ability to multi-task large and small projects.
• The ability to plan and forecast needs of the day as well as long term.
• The ability to work in a high paced and rewarding environment.
• The ability to oversee and direct colleagues in a constructive and positive environment.
• Strong technical skills in at least one of the following: Mechanical, HVAC-R or Electrical.

The salary range for this position is: $82,900-$124,400 annually. This is the pay range for this position that Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.
