Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Cable and Harness Technician 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Melbourne, FL.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Provides regular communication to shop leads and Work Center management on status and technical issues.
  • Manufacture cable / harness products.
  • Ensures work is done with completeness, accuracy, adherence to operation sheets, ISO procedures, schedules, and assign tasks.
  • Reads and interprets Work Instructions, schematics, wirelists, and drawings. Ensures quality of the hardware is maintained and company procedures are followed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have U.S. Citizenship
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain DOD Secret clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable amount of time
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to travel on short notice up to 25% of the time


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Able to read wire list
  • Experience with Manufacturing Cable and Harness and ISO processes
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Cable harness Braiding experience
  • Able to read drawings and schematics
  • Experience with Assembly harnesses
  • Active Secret DoD Clearance and Program Access


Salary Range: $37,700 USD - $62,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
