Build business intelligence and insights that influence critical corporate decisions.
As a business intelligence developer, you will:
- Be the subject matter expert on business intelligence (BI) tools
- Provide guidance to client-facing report builders on how to best organize data elements to leverage business intelligence solutions
- Design and develop the data structures underpinning the reporting system Gallup leaders depend on to make critical business decisions
- Use BI tools to create custom subject areas for curating data and designing reports that provide concise and actionable insights
Our best developers are proactive partners who not only understand business goals but also help technology and finance stakeholders make smarter decisions.
At Gallup, we’re at the frontier of cutting-edge technology, working with data and analytics that no one else in the world has access to. If you’re passionate about data (and we mean DATA), join us, and help us solve the world’s most pressing problems.
Who we want:
- Continuous learners who thrive when applying new knowledge to existing structures and processes
- Service-minded team players who build strong relationships with partners and provide unparalleled customer service to their clients
- Proactive problem solvers who take the initiative to dive into systems to resolve glitches and complications without being prompted or given the solutions
- Detail-oriented developers known for their accountability and ownership
What you need:
- At least three years of database development experience that includes a strong foundation in SQL, PL/SQL and ETL processes
- The ability to work in person at the Omaha Riverfront campus at least three days a week is required
- At least three years of experience as a business intelligence developer, ideally using Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), Fusion Analytics Warehouse (FAW) or Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI); candidates with experience in non-Oracle business intelligence tools will also be considered
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, MIS, math or related field required
What we offer:
We create exceptional workplaces, starting with our own. We focus on developing your strengths — what you do right, rather than what you do wrong — and helping you be engaged at work. When you work at Gallup, you’ll benefit from:
- A collaborative work environment with world-class managers and highly tenured mentors who guide and empower associates based on their unique skills and strengths
- A flexible and hybrid work environment with an emphasis on associate wellbeing
- A robust benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance options, a 401(k) retirement and savings plan with company matching, an employee stock ownership program, and more
- An on-site cafeteria, fitness center, federal credit union and state-of-the-art child development center, all on a beautiful downtown Omaha campus on the Missouri River
- A strengths-based, engagement-focused and performance-oriented culture
- Mission-driven work that changes the lives of people around the world
- A creative and innovative startup atmosphere with the stability and credibility of a well-established brand
- Continuous learning and development opportunities, including working with the latest technology within an Agile framework
