About the role
As a Billing Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating the activities of the billing process and performing complex billing duties. Other key responsibilities include:
- Providing accurate and timely completion of assignments and inquiry responses; ensuring that all tasks and duties completed are done within the firm’s set guidelines and policies
- Assisting with obtaining information required for e-billing and liaising with e-billing coordinators on outstanding items
- Generating, reviewing, distributing and finalizing proformas from 3E
- Preparing and analyzing complex client billing
- Assisting with year-end closing and reporting as required
- Utilizing computerized billing and payable software modules to complete the billing process
- Following up on unsent invoices and running A/R, WIP and BOA reports
- Engaging proactively with attorneys, staff and clients on outstanding billing items and resolution of issues
- Promoting effective work practices and working as a team member
- Assisting with special projects as needed
- Acting as liaison between billing attorneys and billing secretaries, legal attorneys, finance staff and/or organization (customers); responding to internal and external inquiries in a timely manner
- Communicating with clients regarding outstanding invoices, unallocated payments and other accounting-related tasks
- Providing project analyses as directed; utilizing 3E system for various analytical reports
- Tracking and logging status of aged inventory balances
About you
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Have thorough knowledge of bookkeeping procedures such as posting, balancing, debits and credits, and journal entries
- Apply your organizational and communication skills while displaying a positive, high-energy attitude
- Display knowledge of basic accounting principles, as well as the ability to comprehend and accurately perform mathematical functions
And have:
- Knowledge and proficiency in PC Applications, including spreadsheet software and operations, is required; knowledge of 3E is a plus
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $95,000 and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and location. Discretionary bonuses may be awarded in recognition of individual and firm performance — and profit-sharing partnership contributions to 401(k) accounts may be given based on firm performance.
