Job Summary

Responsible for planning and designing new software and web applications. Edits new and existing applications. Implements, testing and debugging defined software components. Documents all development activity. Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge.

The Comcast Customer Journey Experiences & Messaging Platform team is building the next generation of interactive experiences as we continue to invest in new and better ways to communicate with our customers! Xfinity Assistant Journeys (XAJ) are an orchestrated customer experience leveraging business process management (BPMN), data intelligence, AI based recommendations, email, and SMS communications to create a series of connected interactions. These journeys range from predictive troubleshooting, proactive notifications for outages, and reminders for technician appointments and visits. This position includes the exciting opportunity to work with a number of cutting-edge technologies that the platform is developed on including Amazon AWS cloud, Apache Nifi, Apache Flink, and Spring-based java microservices. Within the context of journey experiences, core responsibilities of this position will be to participate in team activities, develop new or enhanced journey experiences, and provide support for the platform. Day to day responsibilities include participating in team Scrum ceremonies, develop proficiency in platform components and experiences, deliver assigned development tasks, participate in quality assurance and testing activities, and support the deployment and launch of new features. Core Responsibilities

  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Works with Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Programs new software, web applications and supports new applications under development and the customization of current applications.
  • Displays knowledge of and ability to apply, process design and redesign skills.
  • Reviews literature, patents and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects.
  • Analyzes and determines integration needs.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Displays knowledge of engineering methodologies, concepts, skills and their application in the area of specified engineering specialty.
  • Edits and reviews technical requirements documentation.
  • Displays in-depth knowledge of and ability to apply, project management skills.
  • Evaluates and plans software designs, test results and technical manuals.
