Winston Benefits, a Brown & Brown company, is seeking an Assistant Controller to join our team! The role of the Assistant Controller will be responsible for billing, trial balance maintenance, accounts receivable, and budgeting functions.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Monthly closings.
- Maintaining and establishing internal controls.
- Preparing and posting journal entries.
- General Accounting utilizing QuickBooks and Workday.
- Budget preparation and management.
- Bank reconciliations.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Required:
- Understanding of QuickBooks (and other general ledger/accounting programs).
- BS in Accounting required.
- Knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Outlook required.
- 7 to 10 years’ experience.
- Ability to produce reports using Excel.
Preferred:
- CPA designation a plus.
- Has employee benefits insurance/service experience.
