One to two years of post high school education.

Work with the Banquet and/or Catering Directors to manage, organize, and monitor banquet events.

Coordinate and oversee physical setup requirements and execution.

Three (3) years of experience in the same or similar position preferred.

Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.

Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.

Requisition and maintain control over inventories of china, glassware, silverware, equipment, and uniforms.

Thoughtfully and consistently engage in employee management procedures for interviewing, hiring, performance, discipline, and termination.

Attend staff and management meetings as needed.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor or other management.

Refined verbal and written communication skills.

Graciously and quickly manage any employee or client issues; report issues to Catering Director.

Five+ years of demonstrated Banquet experience, preferably in a large-scale Catering environment.

Minimum of three (2) years’ Banquet experience required

Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a supervisory role

Must have prior knowledge of wine and spirits

Excellent verbal and written communication skills required

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook required

Job duties include; although are not limited to:

Three years experience as a banquet server or supervisor in a fine dining establishment

(Internal candidates should be STAR Service certified. A working knowledge of ClubCater, Aloha and Kronos are a plus.)

Involved in the hiring and training of staff and in the ordering of product.

Prior supervisory or management experience in a fast paced hotel food & beverage or banquet operation highly recommended.

Be able to set up and manage varies types of banquet events

Directing and coordinating the activities of all assigned personnel and departmental responsibilities.

Knowledge of Banquet operations, preparation and break down techniques in a hotel setting preferred.

Mathematical abilities in order to determine and track inventory, controls, revenue productions, and other hotel financial statement.

Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint helpful, Outlook, and POS systems.

Three years experience as a banquet server or supervisor in a fine dining establishment
